Terms & Conditions – #SmileForGreenSeas Selfie Competition (UK Only)

1. Promoter

• The promoter of this competition is GreenSeas Trust, Registered Charity No: 1098649 (“the Promoter”).

2. Eligibility

• This competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom only.
• Entrants must be aged 18 or over.

3. Competition Period

• The competition opens on 02 April 2026 and closes at 23:59 (GMT) on 01 June 2026.

4. How to Enter

To enter, participants must:

• Take a selfie featuring a GreenSeas Trust “BinForGreenSeas” bin.
• Post the image on X (formerly Twitter), Instagram or Facebook.
• Include the hashtag #SmileForGreenSeas.
• Tag and follow the official GreenSeas Trust account on the platform used.
• Ensure entries are publicly visible at the time of submission and during the judging period. The Promoter reserves the right to disregard entries that cannot be accessed or viewed.

The Promoter is not responsible for entries that are not received, visible, or identifiable due to privacy settings, incorrect tagging, or platform errors.

5. Entry Limits

• A maximum of 3 entries per person is permitted.

6. Entry Requirements

• Entries must be original and created by the entrant.
• Entrants must have permission from anyone appearing in the photo.
• Entries must not contain offensive, inappropriate, or unlawful content.

7. Prize

One winner will receive:

• £50 (fifty pounds sterling) cash; and
• One GreenSeas Trust T-shirt.

• The cash prize will be paid via bank transfer to a UK bank account in the winner’s name.
• The winner must provide valid bank details within 7 days of notification.
• Bank details will only be used for administering the prize.
• The prize is non-transferable and no alternatives will be offered.

8. Winner Selection and Notification

• The winner will be selected based on creativity, originality, and relevance to the competition theme, as determined by a judging panel.
• The decision of the Promoter is final and and no correspondence will be entered into.
• The winner will be contacted via direct message on the platform used to enter.
• If the winner does not respond within 7 days of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

9. Winner Announcement

• The winner will be announced on 8th June 2026 (World Ocean Day) via the Promoter’s social media channels.
• By entering, participants agree that their name and social media handle may be used to announce the winner.

10. Use of Entries

• By entering, participants grant the Promoter a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, and publish their entry for marketing and promotional purposes in any media.

11. Platform Disclaimer

This competition is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with X, Instagram, or Facebook.

12. General

• The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not comply with these Terms & Conditions.
• These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
• The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, amend, or suspend the competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
